I think youth benefit AVP - having all generations present in the ongoing movement for creating community and peace is essential in the cyclical nature of community. Without youth AVP and other peace programs would be stuck in reactive nature, responding to the need for community instead of being integrated into how we develop of humans. I was lucky enough to find AVP when I was only 22 years old. Almost a decade later and I am still learning the long game of building community. The Peace, Justice, and Community Committee has a youth empowerment cohort working to address racism and other systematic issues within AVP-USA through empowering youth. We have a goal of holding quarterly calls, the next happening hopefully in June. We are looking for someone(s) to facilitate a topic. If you are interested please reach out to me!
